About Loop

Microsoft Loop is the next-generation co-creation app that connects teams and tasks across your tools and devices. It's a new way of working — so you and your team can think, plan, and create together from anywhere!

Learning Loop is easy, but here are some first steps to get you started:

Page Basics

Pages are a flexible canvas where you can type and insert content

Type / to explore content types you can insert.

Type @ to mention people or link a file.

Type : to open the emoji picker.

Select any text & right-click to format it.

Hold the ⋮⋮ icon to the left of text to drag and drop content.

Use the chat bubble icon to the left of text to add a comment or reaction.

Workspace Basics

Workspaces are for grouping everything important to a project.

Use the sidebar to navigate.

Click the Loop logo to see all your workspaces.

Create a workspace for each of your projects.

Click the round, purple + button in the sidebar to add a page or link.

Here are some ideas on how you can use the Loop app with your team:

Idea	Description
🏠️ Make it your team's home	Collect all files and assets your team needs (Office docs, specs, meeting notes, links to worklists and schedules, YouTube videos, and so on) and link to important components from your Outlook emails or Teams chats.
⚽️ Kick off a new project	Create a new page to outline your goals, timelines, and assign tasks. Invite the team and start collaborating in a structured way.
📝 Take meeting notes	Keep a history of all your meeting notes and track your team's action items with a task list. Easily share it in emails or in chats, where it automatically stays up to date.
💯️ Drive a team decision	Use templates to help your team make decisions, such as choosing an art direction for your project. Just create a new page and apply the Team Decision template. Or, use the / menu to insert a voting table to capture team feedback.
🧠️ Brainstorm asynchronously	Iterate on each other's ideas whenever your teammates in other time zones are available. Add conversation components to any parts of a page to discuss related context.
🎨️ Write a design spec or project brief	Provide feedback on each other's work by commenting on ideas. Get consensus on opinions by adding a voting table to make sure everyone's views are heard.

TIP When you create a new page, you'll find a growing number of templates at the bottom to help you get started!
